My name is Kirungi Solomon Justin, and my journey with Kirungi Child Orphanage began during the lockdown. It was a time of great hardship for many, especially for children abandoned by their fathers due to poverty or left orphaned by the loss of their parents. Feeling a calling from above, my mother and I decided to take action to help these vulnerable children, but we faced a daunting challenge – lack of funds. Determined not to give up, I reached out for help from beyond Uganda’s borders, hoping for a ray of hope amidst the darkness.

Amidst the uncertainty, a shining light appeared in the form of a kind-hearted soul named Brother Kramer. With his generous donations and support, he provided a lifeline for our cause, giving us the means to make a difference in the lives of these children. His kindness didn’t stop there – he even sponsored my enrollment in an online platform called Codecademy, where I learned valuable coding skills like Python and SQL (the certificates links are attached bellow). These skills opened doors for me, empowering me to create this very website and paving the way for a brighter future for the children under our care.

Although I have yet to find stable employment, the skills I have gained have already made a significant impact. But my dreams extend beyond personal success – I dream of building a larger orphanage with a school, a haven where these children can find love, education, and hope for the future. Sadly, the government in Uganda has not provided adequate support for orphaned children, leaving them vulnerable and neglected.

But I believe that together, we can make a difference. By joining hands and hearts, we can create a brighter future for these children, one filled with love, opportunity, and endless possibilities.
