With only a few mattresses, bedsheets, and mosquito nets to go around, they are forced to share beds, squeezing three or more children onto a single mattress. The cramped conditions and lack of proper ventilation lead to excessive sweating, creating a breeding ground for illness and infection.

Malaria, in particular, poses a great threat to our children’s health, with mosquitoes thriving in the warm and humid environment of our overcrowded sleeping quarters. The risk of infection looms large, leaving our children vulnerable and defenseless against this deadly disease.
